Lapeer, MI - Freeway Closed due to Major Accident on I-69 at M-24 (Lapeer Rd)

Lapeer, MI (December 13, 2021) - Highway patrol officers and first responders were both on the scene of an automobile collision on Thursday, December 9 in Lapeer. The wreck was reported just before 10:00 p.m.

The incident resulted in the closure of Interstate 69 near M-24 (Lapeer Road) while responders were present in the area. Numerous emergency crews were seen working at the scene for an extended period of time on Thursday night. 

No information has been released on how the crash occurred or the condition of anyone involved. Authorities in Lapeer continue to investigate the circumstances of the collision.
