Williams Twp, MI (December 3, 2021) - A two-car accident in Williams Township claimed the life of one woman on the afternoon of Wednesday, December 1. Michigan State Police were called to assist at the scene at approximately 12:35 p.m.
When they arrived on-site, they found a 2013 Ford Escape had collided with a 2016 Ford F-150. The preliminary investigation indicated that both vehicles overturned when the crash happened. They came to rest at the northwest corner of the intersection, according to reports.
The driver of the Escape, identified as a 74-year-old female, lost her life in the collision. The other driver involved, a Millington man, aged 50, was transported to an area medical center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police in Williams Township continue to investigate the details of the incident. The Michigan State Police Traffic Crash Reconstruction Unit, the MSP Aviation Unit, Bay County Sheriff’s deputies, Williams Township firefighters, and Medstar Ambulance were all present at the scene for an extended time period on the afternoon of December 3.
