Charlotte, MI (November 27, 2021) - Several people, including a firefighter, were injured in an accident in the southbound lanes of Interstate 69 near Island Highway on Saturday, November 27th.
According to the Charlotte Fire Department, one of their volunteer firefighters arrived on the scene of a rollover accident at about 11:30 a.m. As the firefighter was starting to exit his vehicle, he was rear-ended by an SUV.
Additional firefighters were dispatched and rendered aid to the injured firefighter, the other victims involved in the initial rollover, and two people in the SUV that rear-ended the firefighter.
Eaton Area EMS transported a total of four people to local hospitals. The injured firefighter was transported by Charlotte FD to Eaton Sparrow.
The extent of any of the victim’s injuries is unknown.
