Walker, MI (November 23, 2021) - Two people were hurt in an auto accident that happened in the early morning hours of Tuesday, November 23 in Walker. First responders were called to the scene located on Wilson Avenue near the intersection with Leonard Street to assist those involved.
Upon their arrival, they found two injured victims who were involved in a crash with a Jeep Grand Cherokee and a US Postal Service Vehicle. Both drivers were transported to an area medical center with non-life-threatening injuries.
A power pole with crosswalk lights was knocked down during the wreck, according to reports. Consumers Energy and Police were on the scene for some time after the incident occurred in order to clear the area.
Traffic was rerouted from the intersection and drivers were asked to avoid the area while responders were present. No further information has been reported at this time.
Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
