Clinton Twp., MI – Two Critically Injured in Crash at Hall Rd & Garfield Rd

Clinton Twp., MI (April 1, 2025) - A serious two-vehicle crash in Clinton Township early Sunday morning left two individuals with critical injuries. The accident occurred around 5:30 a.m. on March 31 at the intersection of Hall Road and Garfield Road, prompting an immediate response from police and emergency medical personnel.

Upon arrival, officers discovered two people trapped inside one of the vehicles involved in the crash. Firefighters and EMS teams worked quickly to extricate the occupants and administer emergency care. Both individuals were then transported to local hospitals for further treatment. Their current conditions have not been officially released.

Due to the severity of the collision, eastbound Hall Road was closed to traffic as investigators documented the scene and began examining the circumstances surrounding the crash. The road closure led to delays during the morning hours, and drivers were urged to seek alternate routes. Authorities have not yet released information on what may have caused the collision or whether any other injuries were reported. The investigation remains active at this time.

We hope those injured in this accident recover quickly.

Car Accidents in Michigan

Clinton Twp., MI – Two Critically Injured in Crash at Hall Rd & Garfield RdCar accidents are a frequent concern throughout Michigan, with over 70,000 injury crashes reported in 2022 alone. Whether on highways or local roads, these crashes often result in serious harm. Clinton Township and other urban areas frequently see collisions at busy intersections such as Hall Road and Garfield Road, where high traffic volumes and speed increase risk.

To help prevent serious crashes and understand their impacts, here are several common types of injuries victims may face after a vehicle collision:

  • Crush Injuries: When a person becomes trapped in a vehicle, they are at risk for crush injuries—damage caused by extreme pressure to the body. These can lead to internal bleeding, broken bones, or even amputations, requiring extensive medical intervention.
  • Spinal Cord Injuries: Trauma to the neck or back can damage the spinal cord, leading to temporary or permanent paralysis. These injuries often require long-term rehabilitation and can drastically change a person’s quality of life.
  • Chest and Rib Trauma: The force of a collision can cause rib fractures, collapsed lungs, or damage to internal organs. Seat belts, while essential, can sometimes contribute to these types of injuries during high-impact crashes.
  • Head and Brain Injuries: Victims may suffer from concussions or more severe traumatic brain injuries (TBI). Symptoms may include confusion, memory loss, dizziness, or unconsciousness. Long-term care and therapy are often needed to manage the effects.
  • Psychological Injuries: Beyond physical trauma, victims may experience anxiety, post-traumatic stress, or depression. Emotional recovery can be just as important as physical healing in the aftermath of a serious crash.
