Car Accidents in Michigan

Flushing Twp., MI –Crash Leaves at Least One Hurt on McKinley RdIn Michigan, vehicle accidents remain a leading cause of injury. The Michigan State Police report tens of thousands of injury-related crashes every year. With such high numbers, it's clear how vital safe driving practices and timely medical and legal follow-up can be.

Many factors play into injury severity following a crash. One important topic to consider is how different types of crashes affect injury outcomes:

  • Rear-End Collisions: These are among the most common types of crashes. While often associated with lower speeds, they can still result in serious neck and back injuries, particularly whiplash. Victims might not feel pain immediately, but symptoms often appear within hours or days.
  • Side-Impact Crashes (T-Bone): T-bone accidents are particularly dangerous due to the limited space between the occupant and the vehicle’s door. These collisions frequently lead to broken bones, internal injuries, and head trauma, depending on where the vehicle was struck.
  • Head-On Collisions: Among the most serious crash types, head-on accidents can cause catastrophic injuries or death. High speeds and the direct force of impact often result in broken limbs, spinal injuries, and internal organ damage.
  • Rollover Accidents: Though less common, rollover crashes tend to cause more severe injuries. The vehicle's roof can collapse, and passengers may be ejected if not wearing seatbelts. These incidents often require extensive medical treatment.
  • Single-Vehicle Accidents
Sometimes, only one vehicle is involved—striking a tree, pole, or veering off the road. Even in these cases, injuries can be severe, and passengers may still be entitled to compensation, especially if mechanical failure played a role.
