Macomb, MI – Injury Crash on I-696 east of Gratiot Rd

Macomb, MI (December 7, 2024) – At least one person was transported to a local hospital for the treatment of injuries following a car crash that occurred in the Macomb area. The collision took place at around 6:35 p.m. on December 5.

Local law enforcement reports indicate that vehicles collided on the eastbound side of Interstate 696. The involved vehicles came to rest, blocking the road just east of Gratiot Road. Paramedics arrived at the scene to care for injured individuals. Victims requiring further treatment were transported to local hospitals by ambulance. The state police are currently investigating the incident.
