Clam Lake Twp., MI (November 15, 2024) – Two people were transported to area hospitals with injuries following a motor vehicle accident that took place in Wexford County on Tuesday afternoon, November 12.
According to official reports, a 32-year-old man was driving a vehicle westbound on East 48 Road. His car was occupied by himself and two passengers, a 30-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman. The automobile proceeded through a stop sign and collided with a second vehicle, which was traveling south on Mackinaw Trail. Two people involved in the accident were severely injured and flown by helicopter to Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. The driver of the vehicle showed signs of intoxication and failed a sobriety test that was issued to him at the scene. As a result, he was taken into police custody.
