Woodbridge Twp., MI – Two Injured in S Hillsdale Rd Crash near Rodgers RdIn 2022 alone, there were more than 293,000 car accidents on Michigan’s roads. Unfortunately, many of these accidents led to serious injuries for the people involved. Being hurt in a car crash can change your life dramatically, and victims often face lasting injuries like head trauma, internal injuries, and broken bones, which can affect their ability to work and live normally.

Every year, various types of car accidents occur on Michigan roadways. Some of the most common include:

  • Highway Construction Collisions: Accidents in construction zones are common due to lane changes, shifting road layouts, and reduced speed limits. Drivers who fail to follow signs and adjust their driving can cause serious crashes.
  • Uber and Lyft Accidents: With the rise in rideshare services, accidents involving Uber and Lyft vehicles have become more frequent. These cases can be complicated because of the different insurance policies involved.
  • Sideswipe Accidents: These occur when one vehicle swipes another while changing lanes, often leading to loss of control and secondary collisions.
  • Intersection Crashes: Accidents at intersections are common, especially when drivers fail to obey traffic signals or yield properly.
  • Drunk or Impaired Driving Accidents: Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is a leading cause of severe crashes, as impaired drivers often have slower reaction times and poor judgment.
  • T-Bone Crashes (Broadside Collisions): These accidents happen when one vehicle hits the side of another, often at intersections, and can lead to significant damage and injuries for the impacted vehicle’s occupants.
