Car Accidents in Michigan

Flint, MI – Car Accident blocks I-475 near Robert T Longway BlvdA motor vehicle accident can have a lasting impact on your life. Sadly, many victims end up in the hospital, needing extensive medical care due to the injuries they suffer in these incidents. When someone is harmed in an accident caused by another’s actions, they have the right to pursue a personal injury claim against the responsible party. To win a personal injury case, the victim must be able to show that negligence played a role in causing the crash. Common factors that often lead to accidents include:

  • Running red lights: This reckless behavior disregards traffic signals and can result in dangerous collisions at intersections, putting both drivers and pedestrians at risk.
  • Driving while tired (fatigue): Fatigue impairs concentration and reaction times, making it similar to driving under the influence, and significantly increases the likelihood of accidents.
  • Aggressive driving behaviors: Actions such as tailgating, excessive speeding, and road rage can escalate tensions on the road and lead to serious accidents.
  • Making unsafe lane changes: Failing to check mirrors or blind spots before changing lanes can cause unexpected collisions with other vehicles, which may lead to injury and property damage.
  • Poor visibility conditions: Weather factors like rain, fog, or snow can drastically reduce visibility, making it challenging for drivers to see other vehicles, road signs, and potential hazards, thereby increasing the risk of accidents.
