Wixom, MI – Woman Loses Life in Car Crash on S Wixom Rd at Sams Way

Wixom, MI (October 7, 2024) – Emergency crews were notified that they were needed to provide help at the scene of a motor vehicle accident that occurred in the Wixom area. The accident occurred on October 4.

Official reports show that a 59-year-old woman was driving a 2024 Honda CRV on South Wixom Road. As she slowed her vehicle behind a 2024 Ford F350 near Sams Way, her vehicle was struck by a 2010 Nissan Versa, which was driven by a 94-year-old woman. After the initial collision, the driver of the Nissan accelerated and crashed into the Honda a second time. She ran over the woman and trapped her under her vehicle. The trapped woman was freed and rushed to an area hospital for emergency medical care. She ended up passing away from her injuries after arriving. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
