Saginaw, MI - Fatal Crash on I-75 near I-675 Exit Ramp Takes One Life

Saginaw, MI (September 30, 2024) – The Michigan State Police died as a result of a fatal accident that occurred in the Saginaw area. The collision was reported at around 9:30 p.m. on September 28.

According to preliminary investigations, a 2013 Jeep was traveling on Interstate 75. As it proceeded through the southbound side of the roadway near the exit ramp for Interstate 675, the vehicle overturned. A 32-year-old man from Saginaw was ejected from the vehicle, resulting in fatal injuries. A 42-year-old man stopped to render aid at the scene. While assisting, he was struck by a 2004 Colorado pickup truck.

The pedestrian was severely hurt in the crash and rushed to an area hospital. The Colorado also struck a 2007 Honda Civic at the scene. The driver of the Honda, a 31-year-old woman from Midland, was injured. Police and firefighters responded to the crash site and immediately closed off a portion of the road. Paramedics went to work providing care to the injured victims. Victims who required further medical attention were transported to local hospitals. At this time, the police department in Saginaw is investigating the crash.
