Car Accidents in Michigan

Lowell, MI – Auto Wreck with Injuries on I-96 near Alden Nash AveEvery day, motor vehicle accidents in Michigan result in serious injuries, leaving victims with physical and financial burdens. It is not uncommon for individuals to suffer injuries so severe that they must take weeks off work while undergoing extensive medical treatment. Unfortunately, many victims are left dealing with severe spinal cord fractures, broken bones, deep cuts, and lacerations. What makes these situations even more tragic is that many of these accidents could have been avoided. Some of the most common causes of car crashes in our state include:

  • Speeding: Exceeding the posted speed limits reduces reaction time and increases the severity of accidents.
  • Distracted driving: Activities like texting, eating, or adjusting the radio can divert attention from the road, leading to dangerous situations.
  • Poor weather conditions: Rain, snow, and fog can create hazardous driving conditions, making it difficult to maintain control of the vehicle.
  • Reckless driving: Aggressive maneuvers such as tailgating and weaving through traffic can lead to collisions.
  • Running red lights or stop signs: Ignoring traffic signals can result in T-bone accidents, often with serious consequences.
  • Driving under the influence: Alcohol and drugs impair judgment and reaction times, significantly increasing the risk of crashes.
