Macomb, MI (September 17, 2024) – On September 17, emergency crews were called to the scene of a motor vehicle accident that occurred in the Macomb area.

At around 10:50 a.m., a collision blocked multiple lanes on the westbound side of Interstate 696. Emergency crews immediately secured a portion of the roadway near 11 Mile Road as they worked to remove the involved vehicles. Tow trucks responded to aid in the removal. Medical personnel tended to those harmed while on site before transporting those who required further attention to area hospitals for further care. The police department is currently investigating the incident.
