Macomb, MI – Car Crash Reported on I-696 near Groesbeck Hwy

Macomb, MI (September 11, 2024) – A motor vehicle accident reported in Macomb sent at least one person to a local hospital with injuries. The collision took place at around 4:10 p.m. on September 9.

According to police reports, multiple westbound lanes on Interstate 696 were blocked near Groesbeck Highway as a result of a serious collision. The incident prompted the closure of the highway as emergency crews worked to remove debris out of the roadway.
