Kentwood, MI – Accident with Injuries on 44th St near Shaffer Ave SE

Kentwood, MI (September 11, 2024) – Emergency crews were informed that their assistance was needed at the scene of an automobile accident that occurred in Kentwood and sent at least one person to a local hospital with injuries. The collision took place at around 2:30 p.m. on September 10.

According to law enforcement, 44^th Street was blocked near the intersection of Shaffer Avenue Southeast as a result of vehicle collisions. Authorities arrived at the scene and located the involved vehicles blocking multiple lanes of the road near Industrial Avenue. Authorities immediately secured the roadway to prevent further injuries. At least one person was transported to a local hospital, where they underwent medical care. At this time, law enforcement is investigating the incident.
