Niles, MI – Car Crash Reported n M-139 near W Ullery RdA motor vehicle collision can occur in an instant, yet the impact on your life can be lasting. Unfortunately, tens of thousands of people each year are forced to deal with the overwhelming aftermath of vehicle accidents. Many victims must undergo extensive medical treatment, including surgery and months of therapy and rehabilitation. What is particularly tragic is that many of these accidents are entirely preventable. Some of the leading causes of traffic accidents include:

  • Drunk driving: Operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol significantly impairs judgment and reaction times, leading to a higher likelihood of collisions.
  • Reckless driving: This encompasses aggressive behaviors such as speeding, tailgating, and weaving in and out of traffic, which put all road users at risk.
  • Driver inattention: Distractions, whether from mobile devices, passengers, or even daydreaming, can lead to devastating accidents as drivers fail to notice changing road conditions.
  • Failure to obey traffic signals: Ignoring stop signs and traffic lights can result in dangerous intersections where collisions are more likely, endangering both the driver and others on the road.
  • Poor weather conditions: Rain, snow, fog, and ice can drastically reduce visibility and traction, making it crucial for drivers to adjust their behavior accordingly to prevent accidents.
