Macomb, MI – Injuries Follow M-53 Crash near 28 Mile Rd

Kent, MI (August 27, 2024) – Authorities were summoned to the scene of a car crash that sent an unknown number of people to area hospitals with injuries. The crash occurred at around 8:25 a.m. on August 26.

According to official reports, a collision between vehicles blocked multiple lanes on Byron Center Avenue Southwest near 100th Street. The incident prompted the closure of the roadway, causing severe delays throughout the area. Police and firefighters worked quickly to remove the involved vehicles from the scene. Medical personnel responded to the crash site to care for injured victims. Those who required further medical care were transported to local hospitals. The police department is investigating the accident.
