Grand Blanc Township, MI (August 20, 2024) – On August 19, police, firefighters, and emergency medical services were all requested at the scene of a motor vehicle accident that occurred during the morning hours.
At around 10:55 a.m., an automobile collision occurred in the 5500 block of Perry Road, blocking multiple lanes of the road near the Speedway. We hope those who were harmed as a result of this crash recover quickly.
Car accidents can have devastating effects on those involved. Every year, tens of thousands of people across our state suffer injuries in vehicle collisions on our roadways. What makes this even more tragic is that many of these accidents are preventable. Reckless and negligent driving continues to be a leading cause of serious injuries for other motorists. We often see victims harmed in accidents because of drivers who are texting on their phones, making reckless lane changes, or tailgating other vehicles.
Any type of accident has the potential to cause serious harm to those involved. Unfortunately, many victims are left with severe injuries, such as head trauma, deep cuts, internal organ damage, and other conditions that require extensive medical care. Beyond the physical and emotional pain, these injuries often come with significant financial burdens. Many victims face tens of thousands of dollars in medical bills and vehicle repair costs. To make matters worse, the inability to work due to injuries means that victims often go without an income, adding to their financial stress.
