Gladwin Co., MI – Two Killed in Auto Wreck on S Hockaday Rd

Gladwin County, MI (August 2, 2024) –  The Gladwin County Sheriff’s office confirmed that two people died as a result of a fatal collision in Buckeye Township. The collision was reported at around 6:15 p.m. on Monday, July 29.

Reports from authorities indicate that a motor vehicle accident involving able-to-wagon Jetta and a 2004 Suzuki took place on Hockaday Road near Howard Road. The impact of the crash caused the vehicle to go off the roadway and come to rest on the southwest corner of the intersection. A 73-year-old man was pronounced deceased while at the scene. A 48-year-old man involved in the crash was rushed to an area hospital, where he later died from his injuries. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
