Car Accidents in Michigan

Flint, MI – Injuries Follow Auto Wreck on Western RdEvery day, innocent people are hurt as a result of crashes in Michigan. These accidents add up to tens of thousands of people being hospitalized yearly due to collisions on our roadways. Far too often, victims are forced to deal with overwhelming consequences due to reckless drivers. The aftermath of these incidents can include not only physical injuries but also emotional trauma, financial burdens, and significant lifestyle changes.

Common causes of vehicle collisions across our state include:

  • Inexperienced drivers: Often, new drivers lack the experience to handle complex driving situations, leading to mistakes that can result in accidents.
  • Aggressive driving: Behavior such as speeding, weaving through traffic, and road rage can drastically increase the likelihood of a crash.
  • Failure to yield: Drivers who do not yield the right of way can cause serious collisions, especially in intersections.
  • Tailgating: Following another vehicle too closely reduces the time a driver has to react and can lead to rear-end collisions.
  • Mechanical failure: Faulty brakes, tire blowouts, and other mechanical issues can lead to losing control of the vehicle.
  • Failure to obey traffic signals: Ignoring stop signs and red lights can result in dangerous T-bone accidents and other severe crashes.
