Ypsilanti, MI – Bicyclist Fatally Struck at US-12 & Dorset Ave

Ypsilanti, MI (June 7, 2024) – A 64-year-old man lost his life following a bicycle accident that occurred on Monday, June 3. The collision took place at around 5:00 p.m.

Reports show that a man was on his bicycle crossing the roadway at a crosswalk at Dorset Avenue and US Highway 12. For reasons unknown, he was struck by a vehicle, which was traveling eastbound on the roadway. The bicyclist was severely hurt in the crash. Medical personnel provided treatment to the victim at the scene. However, he ended up passing away from his injuries. At this time, an investigation into the accident is underway by the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office.
