Chesterfield Twp., MI – One Killed in Car Crash on Gratiot Ave

Chesterfield Township, MI (June 2, 2024) – A woman lost her life as a result of a fatal accident that occurred on Friday, May 31. The incident took place at 6:45 p.m.

Official reports indicate that a 32-year-old woman was driving northbound on Gratiot Avenue when she lost control of her vehicle. As a result, she entered the southbound side of the roadway and collided with a second vehicle near the intersection of D'hondt Road. The drivers of both vehicles were transported to area hospitals for injury treament. A 43-year-old woman and one additional victim both sustained injuries and were transported to area hospitals. The second victim passed away from their injuries after arriving. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
