Comstock Twp., MI (June 1, 2024) – A truck driver has died as a result of a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Tuesday evening in Comstock Township. The crash took place at around 8:15 p.m. on May 29.

Reports from the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s office indicate that a semi-truck tractor-trailer was traveling on Interstate 94 when it approached two vehicles on the eastbound side of the roadway near mile marker 85.5. Both vehicles were struck by the truck. The impact of the crash caused the truck to go off the side of the roadway and strike multiple trees before jackknifing. One person involved in the crash was fatally injured and pronounced deceased by authorities. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
