Charlevoix, MI – Car Crash Reported on M-66 near Captain Ln

Charlevoix, MI (May 9, 2024) – Emergency crews responded to the scene of a major motor vehicle accident that occurred in the Charlevoix area. Authorities were summoned to the scene at around 5:00 p.m. on May 7.

Official reports indicate that vehicles collided on Michigan 66 near the Ace Hardware store. Authorities arrived on site and closed down the roadway near Captain Lane. Traffic was diverted down Ferry Avenue as emergency crews worked to remove the involved vehicles. Paramedics were dispatched to the scene to care for injured victims and to transfer them to area hospitals. The Police Department is currently investigating the accident.
