Muskegon, MI (May 3, 2024) – A woman lost her life as a result of a fatal fire that occurred on Thursday morning in Muskegon. The incident was reported at around seven a.m. on May 2.
Official reports indicate that a fire on Getty Street caught on fire. Firefighters rushed to the scene and closed off the roadway near Laketon. Firefighters worked extensively to take control of the fire. A woman was trapped inside of her home. Firefighters were able to enter the structure and locate the woman. Authorities confirmed that the woman was fatally injured in the accident. She was pronounced deceased by authorities. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
