Macomb, MI – Motorcycle vs SUV on I-94 near New Haven Rd

Macomb, MI (May 1, 2024) – The Michigan State Police responded to the scene of a major motor vehicle accident involving two vehicles that ended in injuries. The collision occurred at around 3:45 p.m. on April 30.

Preliminary reports indicate that an SUV and a motorcycle collided on the westbound side of Interstate 94 near New Haven Road. The incident prompted authorities to close down the roadway for a significant amount of time. One person involved in the accident was severely injured. A Good Samaritan stopped at the scene of the crash and performed CPR on one of the victims while awaiting EMS response. The injured party was transported to an area hospital for emergency care. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
