Kentwood, MI – Man Killed in Crash on 52nd St SE near Eastern Ave

Kentwood, MI (April 19, 2024) – A man lost his life as a result of a fatal accident reported on Wednesday morning in Kentwood. The Michigan State Police and firefighters were called to the scene of the accident at around 11:30 a.m. On April 17.

Official reports indicate that the police were attempting to stop a man who was wanted for a warrant in the area near 52^nd Street Southeast and Eastern Avenue. For reasons unknown, the man was struck by one of the police vehicles. The pedestrian was rushed to an area hospital for emergency medical care, where he died from his injuries. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
