Oakland, MI (April 17, 2024) – The Michigan Department of Transportation confirmed that a motor vehicle accident occurred during the evening hours on Tuesday, April 16. Police and firefighters were notified of the accident at around 4:15 p.m.
According to reports provided by MDOT, a collision occurred on Lodge Freeway, blocking two lanes on the southbound side of the road near Interstate 696. Some delays were reported in the area as emergency officials worked to remove the involved vehicles. Medical personnel responded to the crash site to care for the injured parties. At least one victim was transported to a local hospital for further medical care. At this time, the circumstances surrounding the collision are being investigated.
