Oak Park, MI (April 12, 2024) – A major multi-vehicle accident reported in the Oak Park area ended in injuries. The collision was reported at around 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 11.
Official reports indicate that a semi-truck and multiple other vehicles collided on the eastbound side of the roadway near Coolidge Highway. The impact of the crash caused the semi-truck to overturn and crash into the median, causing severe damage. Authorities closed down a portion of the westbound side of the road and the eastbound side of the road as they worked to clear the scene for more than eight hours. Medical personnel treated injured victims at the scene before transporting them to local hospitals. The incident is currently being investigated by law enforcement.
