Livingston Co., MI (April 10, 2024) – A collision reported in Livingston County prompted the response of the Michigan State Police and area firefighters on Tuesday afternoon, April 9.
At around 12:30 p.m., a 21-year-old man from Brighton was driving on the southbound side of US Highway 23 when his vehicle collided with a second vehicle near Interstate 96. The impact of the crash sent the second vehicle into a third vehicle, which was driven by a 44-year-old man. The Michigan Department of Transportation reported significant delays in the area. Two victims were injured as a result of the accident. A 78-year-old man and a 73-year-old female were both transported to area hospitals for emergency treatment. The 21-year-old driver was cited by the police for failure to stop and ensure a clear distance. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
