Frenchtown Twp., MI – MSP Trooper Hurt in Crash on Stewart Rd

Frenchtown Twp., MI (April 1, 2024) – Emergency crews confirm the Michigan State Police trooper was injured as a result of an automobile accident that occurred on Saturday evening in Monroe County. Calls for help came in at around 8:45 p.m. on March 30.

Official reports indicate that a state trooper was traveling west on Stewart Road during the evening hours. For unknown reasons, their vehicle became involved in a collision with a Tesla SUV near North Telegraph Road. The trooper was injured as a result of the accident and transported to an area hospital for medical care. Neither the 52-year-old driver nor either of the passengers in the SUV suffered any injuries. At this time, investigations into the accident are ongoing.
