Sterling Heights, MI - Vehicle Collision on Mound Rd at 17 Mile Rd

Sterling Heights, MI (March 28, 2024) – Emergency crews were requested on-site at a motor vehicle accident in the Sterling Heights area that ended in injuries. The incident was reported at around 2:40 p.m. on March 27.

Official reports indicate that a black SUV and one additional vehicle collided on Mound Road near 17 Mile Road. The impact of the collision sent one vehicle off the roadway where it collided with a pole. The black SUV fled the scene of the crash. Emergency medical services responded to the scene to provide medical care for the injured victims. Those who required further medical attention were transported by EMS to area hospitals. The accident is under investigation by law enforcement.
