Mecosta Twp., MI (March 28, 2024) – The Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office and firefighters responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident that left multiple people injured. The incident occurred just after 4:00 p.m. on March 25.
According to area news sources, two vehicles collided at the intersection of Northland Drive and Old State Road. Authorities arrived at the scene and determined that a vehicle was traveling northbound on the roadway when it failed to yield to oncoming southbound traffic. As a result, the vehicle collided with a second vehicle at the intersection.
Three people were injured as a result of the accident. An 18-year-old female and a 74-year-old female were both transported to Big Rapids Hospital by Mecosta County EMS. A 20-year-old female was transported to Butterworth Hospital. At this time, investigations into the accident are ongoing.
