The reckless behavior of some drivers on Michigan roads is a major contributor to the high number of car crashes in the state. Speeding, aggressive driving, and distracted driving are all forms of recklessness that significantly increase the likelihood of accidents occurring.
When drivers fail to follow traffic laws or disregard basic safety precautions, they put themselves and others at risk. Unfortunately, more than 290,000 motor vehicle accidents are reported in Michigan each year, and a significant number of them involve some form of negligence. Auto wrecks in our state often lead to devastating injuries. We see many victims with traumatic brain injuries, broken bones, and other severe injuries that require extensive medical care. Not only is it extremely time-consuming to go through surgery, rehabilitation, and other treatment, but it is quite costly.
