Blackman Twp., MI (March 17, 2024) – A truck accident was reported in Blackman Township on Friday afternoon, leaving at least one person injured. Calls for assistance came in just after 12:15 p.m. on March 15.

According to official reports, two semi-truck tractor-trailers collided on the westbound side of Interstate 94 near Airport Road. Authorities arrived at the scene and located both of the vehicles with severe damage on the north side of the roadway. The vehicles had to be removed from the scene of the accident. Firefighters confirmed that a 50-year-old man from Detroit became pinned inside of the cab of the semi-truck. The Jaws of Life were used to remove the victim, which took approximately one hour. The injured victim was transported to Henry Ford Hospital for the treatment of serious injuries. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
