Oakland, MI – MDOT Reports Crash on I-75 near University Dr

Oakland, MI (March 4, 2024) – A motor vehicle accident reported in the Oakland area ended in injuries. The accident was reported at around 5:00 a.m. on March 3. The crash prompted the response of medical personnel, law enforcement, and firefighters.

According to crash reports, several lanes on the southbound side of Interstate 75 were blocked on University Drive due to a motor vehicle accident during the early morning hours. The Michigan Department of Transportation reported some disruptions throughout the area between Exit 79 and Exit 77 as the police and firefighters worked to remove the involved vehicles. Medical personnel tended to those harmed briefly at the scene before transporting them to local hospitals. At this time, the Michigan State Police are investigating.
