Washington Twp., MI (February 15, 2024) – The Macomb County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that one person lost her life as a result of a fatal collision that occurred in Washington Township. The accident was reported to law enforcement at approximately 930 a.m. on February 12.
According to official reports, a 27-year-old female was driving a Ford Escape on Michigan 53. As her vehicle proceeded through the intersection of 32 Mile Road, it collided with a Jeep. The impact of the collision caused the Jeep to spin around and strike a Chevrolet pickup truck. The driver of the Jeep, a 64-year-old man, and his passenger, a 63-year-old female, were both transported to area hospitals for emergency care. The passenger passed away from her injuries after arriving. The driver of the Ford and the driver of the Chevrolet, a 68-year-old man, were also injured and transported to an area hospital for medical care. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
