Columbus Twp., MI – Fatal Crash at Bordman Rd and Wales Ridge Rd

Columbus Twp., MI (January 22, 2024) – The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an automobile accident that claimed one person’s life. The crash occurred on January 21.

Preliminary investigations indicate that a 2003 Ford F250 was traveling west on Boardman Road when it became involved in a collision near Wales Ridge Road. The pickup truck overturned with three people inside. One of the individuals was ejected from the vehicle. A second passenger was able to exit the vehicle after it came to rest in a pond of water. The third victim was trapped inside of the vehicle, resulting in severe injuries. The victim was transported to McLaren Macomb Hospital, where he passed away from his injuries. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
