Detroit, MI – Injuries Reported in I-96 Accident at I-94

Detroit, MI (January 18, 2024) - Local authorities were dispatched to provide assistance at the scene of an automobile accident that resulted in injuries. The incident was reported to law enforcement at around 2:35 a.m. on January 18.

According to reports provided by the Michigan State Police, an automobile accident occurred on Interstate 96 during the early morning hours. The incident prompted the closure of the eastbound side of the on-ramp to Interstate 94. The Michigan Department of Transportation reported heavy delays in the area as emergency crews worked to clear the scene. Medical personnel tended to injured victims before transporting them to area hospitals. At this time, investigations surrounding the crash are ongoing.
