Washtenaw, MI – Crash on Michigan Ave at Monagan Hwy Ends in Injuries

Washtenaw, MI (January 15, 2024) – At least one person was transported to an area hospital with injuries following a motor vehicle accident that took place in Washtenaw County. The Michigan Department of Transportation reported the crash at approximately 1020 a.m. on January 14.

According to reports provided by officials, a motor vehicle accident occurred on the westbound side of Michigan Avenue. The incident blocked multiple lanes in the area near Monaghan Highway, causing delays that extended back to Deer Run Court. Emergency services closed off a portion of the roadway as they provided assistance in clearing the scene. Medical personnel responded to care for those harmed. Injured victims were transported by ambulance to area hospitals, where they underwent further medical care. At this time, the circumstances surrounding the crash are being investigated.
