Inverness, MI (January 14, 2024) – The Inverness fire department, EMS, and law enforcement officers were called to the scene of an automobile accident that took place on Friday afternoon, January 12. At approximately 1:05 p.m., a collision took place on North Straits Highway.

Authorities arrived at the scene and located the involved vehicles in the area near the Save-A-Lot grocery store. Authorities immediately blocked the roadway as they worked to remove the involved vehicles from the scene. Medics were summoned to care for the injured victims while on site. Those who required further medical care were transported to area hospitals. The circumstances surrounding the accident are being investigated.
