Lapeer, MI (January 12, 2024) – The Michigan Department of Transportation reported an automobile accident that took place in Lapeer and ended in injuries. Calls for assistance were received at around 7:35 p.m. on January 11.
According to law enforcement reports, a vehicle collision occurred on the westbound side of Interstate 69. The incident blocked the roadway between Lake Nepessing Road and Elba Road for an extended period. The police and firefighters remained on site as they worked to remove the involved vehicles from the scene. Medical personnel responded to care for those harmed. Injured parties were transported to area hospitals for further care. The Michigan State Police are investigating the collision.
