Mason, MI (January 11, 2024) – A motor vehicle accident with injuries prompted the closure of a highway in Mason on Tuesday morning, January 9. The accident prompted the response of the Mason Fire Department, Mason Police Department, and the Michigan State Police.

Reports provided by law enforcement show that a collision between an undisclosed number of vehicles occurred on the southbound side of US Highway 127. The force of the collision caused one of the vehicles to overturn and come to rest in a ditch near North Cedar Street. Emergency medical services responded to care for the injured victims. At this time, the Michigan State Police are investigating the accident with the assistance of the Mason Police Department.
