Troy, MI (January 9, 2024) – The Michigan Department of Transportation informed the Michigan State Police and local firefighters that they were needed at the scene of an automobile accident that took place in Troy. Wayne County officials were notified of the crash at approximately 5:30 p.m. on January 8.

Preliminary investigations indicate that vehicles collided on the southbound side of Interstate 75 near Livernois Road. The incident blocked the left shoulder, left lane, and center lane of travel. Emergency medical services responded to treat the injured victims while on site. Those who required further medical attention were transported to area hospitals. The circumstances surrounding the accident are under investigation by law enforcement.
