Shelby Twp., MI (January 8, 2023) – One person has lost their life as a result of a motor vehicle accident that occurred in Shelby Township. The accident occurred at around 3:40 a.m. on January 7.
According to official reports, a suspected drunk driver caused a major motor vehicle accident on Hayes Road in the area of 21 Mile Road. One person involved in the accident sustained fatal injuries and was immediately pronounced deceased on site. The suspected drunk driver was taken into police custody following the accident. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
