Detroit, MI – Accident with Injuries Reported on I-96 near Davison W

Detroit, MI (January 7, 2024) – The Michigan Department of Transportation reported a motor vehicle accident in the Detroit area that sent at least one of the involved parties to a local hospital with injuries. Calls were received at around 4:30 p.m. on January 6.

According to official reports, a vehicle collision took place on the westbound side of Interstate 96 Express. The incident caused moderate disruptions in traffic near Davison W due to its blocking of the left lane and shoulder on the roadway. Law enforcement personnel responded to the crash site and closed off the roadway for an extended period as they worked to remove the involved vehicles. Medics rendered aid to those harmed before transporting them to area hospitals for further medical care. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
