Detroit, MI – Accident on I-94 near M-3 Ends in Injuries

Detroit, MI (January 4, 2024) – On January 3, officers with the Michigan State Police and area firefighters were called to provide assistance at the scene of an automobile accident that occurred in Detroit.

At approximately 6:05 p.m., a collision occurred on the left lane of Interstate 94 eastbound. The incident prompted the authorities to close down the roadway near Michigan 3, Gratiot Avenue. Emergency crews reported stop-and-go traffic that extended back to Cheney Street as emergency crews worked to remove the involved vehicles from the roadway. Emergency medical services were summoned to care for those harmed at the site of the accident. An undisclosed number of people were transported by ambulance to local medical facilities, where they underwent further treatment and evaluation. The state police are investigating the crash.
