Monroe Charter Twp., MI – Injury Crash on S Dixie Hwy near E Dunbar Rd

Monroe Charter Twp., MI (December 31, 2023) – Emergency officials were requested to provide assistance at the scene of an automobile accident that occurred in Monroe County. Calls for assistance were received at around 9:20 p.m. on December 28.

Law enforcement reports indicate that a vehicle collision blocked both the northbound and the southbound lanes of Dixie Highway, Michigan 125. The incident caused disruptions in the area near Dunbar Road after authorities closed down the highway to assist. Emergency medical services responded to treat the injured victims and provided them with transportation to local hospitals. The police and firefighters remained at the scene for an extended period as they worked to reopen the road. Investigations into the crash are ongoing.
