Macomb, MI – Hit-&-Run Accident on Harper Ave near 12 Mile Rd

Macomb, MI (December 31, 2023) – A hit-and-run accident reported in the Macomb area resulted in injuries. Calls for assistance were received at approximately 2:00 p.m. on December 30.

Law enforcement reports indicate that a silver Ford Escape intentionally collided with a second vehicle on Harbor Avenue near 12 Mile Road. The Escape then fled the scene of the accident without stopping. It is possible that the escape struck a telephone pole while fleeing the scene. Authorities responded to the site of the accident to care for the injured victims. At least one person was transported to a local hospital for emergency care. The driver is facing charges of felonious assault and others. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
